The birch logs consist of bark/split logs and are designed for 360 degree viewing around your fire pit while the logs can be stacked a certain way to show the bark side or the split wood side. It is recommended to allow 3 to 6 inches from the edge of your logs to the wall of your fire pit. The base of these logs is formed by one log laid across while the other logs sit on top.
